The wave of love & applause surrounding Art of Tones this year has been phenomenal & well deserved. Long running stalwart of the global
House scene for nearly 20 years, Ludovic Llorca has brought his work at the forefront with labels such as F Communications & 2020 Vision.

In 2009, he lived an creative renaissance by uniting with Room with A View, finding with the guidance of Dairmount, a new genuine
inspiration shelter. Several tracks started to appear on the label in the Perspectives serie and his first EP ” The World As I Live It” was
released in march 2010 combining a huge critical & popular acclaim.

Literally everyone played tracks of the EP and it is still a firm favorite of many one year after. This spring, Art Of Tones contributed
with “Too Much” to the 5th instalment of the Perspectives serie. This one became again one of the most played track of the summer according
to Resident Advisor.

Mr llorca has also been a very in demand remixer as witness recent additions to his already impressive remixography : Tortured soul on Fred Everything’s Lazy Days, TJ Kong on Compost, Evan Evans on The Revenge’s Instruments of Rapture, Marcos in Dub for Alma Soul, Mario Basanov for Under The Shade. He is also currently finishing his version of the next Toolroom big hit Punky Blaster’s Missin’.

Llorca also freshly released “La debandade EP” as the follow-up to his big Ep of 2010.This brand new 3 tracker is a kind of tribute of
Ludovic to the 90’s US House sound that inspired him to start to produce music in his early days. But instead of going for a
superficial retro touch, he chosed to recreate the spirit in his very own way. For Real has been preciously kept out of the EP to be
released ONLY ON VINYL as a genuine gift for vinyl lovers. Available here in 3 versions, this beauty will fits perfectly in the most classy

Back from a little summer break, Dairmount has once again compiled four killers of the highest order to satisfy the most demanding.

Considered as one of the most played summer tracks by Resident Advisor and after being charted by everyone from The Revenge to DJ Sneak, Art Of Tones’ “Too much” is finally available on black wax. The track has arrived just in time to announce the brand new EP “La Débandade” due for a late September release.

To complete the A-side, “I Woke Up…” is another high in demand track by our Finnish long runner Phonogenic. Since the early nineties the man has been an established name in the international club scene with key releases on prestigious labels like Guidance, Cocoon or Mood Music to name a few.

This magnificent piece of slomo house has been played everywhere this summer by Charles Webster, Osunlade or Jimpster and has been recently included on the Dairmount & Berardi’s “My View Of the room” compilation. On the B-side, Dairmount has opted for two of his favourites out of the rich label catalogue. He went for the kind of tracks that have really got the label ‘classic’ written all over them : John Berg’s “Stabs” is the brainchild of Christoffer & Alex Berg, both known individually for their own outstanding work.

Chris has been known as Hird and as the producer of some work of the huge leftfield electronic act Fever Ray; Alex is known today as half of the hot duo Genius Of Time (with releases on Royal Oak, Aniara, Freerange). The track is an absolutely unique collaboration between the brothers Berg and has caused a stir for quite some time.

And finally, completing the collection is Andreas Saag’s “Jazz Lapse”. It’s this stunning piece of music that brought Saag back to the forefront of the scene in 2009 and has never been released before on vinyl.

This vinyl edition is a collectible item existing in limited 300 copies.

The time has come already to celebrate the 3rd episode of the acclaimed ” My View Of The Room” serie which gives the opportunity to one artist of the label to explore the rich RWAV catalogue & compile his favorites & mix them together in one long extra bonus mix.

This time, it is the duo of label honcho Dairmount & his compadre Marino Berardi on duties. We are extremely happy to welcome our Finnish friend Tuomas Salmela on the label with this tailor-made 4 tracker. Since the early nineties the man has been an established name in the international club scene with key releases on prestigious labels like Guidance, Cocoon or Mood Music to name a few.

Salmela’s production skills once again perfectly serve his unique sense of deepness. Both “Tyrion” and “The Raw Deal” are perfect examples of beautifully crafted deep techhouse hybrids, whereas “I Woke Up With Your Hair On My Hips” is a superb slomo disco cut.

This tongue in cheek track has been getting lots of love among the leaders of the nu disco school such as The Revenge, Deep Space Orchestra and Tensnake. The Raw Deal EP concludes with “Bells Of Nuogram”, a melancholic beauty with elements genuinely recorded in Finnish fjords among the deer.

Perfectly in time with the early summer, this second part of the 5th Perspectives episode created & compiled by Dairmount, is focusing on a delicate selection of slomo house & musical explorations. Dairmount chosed also this release to put it in the light some new talents around.

Already part of the RWAV family, Berlin’s Paskal is teaming up with his brother Urban Absolutes to present Twice, an amazing slomo monster that damaged already many dancefloors worldwide. If Mark E & Jimpster would collaborate, it would probably not sound far away from this.
Also feeding the breed of the new school, Sygaire, the man who brought the classic Mono:poly EP on the label, collaborated with UK new talent Josh Winiberg to deliver a fantastic Neo Disco odyssey that is rare to experience these days in that way.

Another bet for the future in Dairmount’s crystal ball is Nowakowski, a young Swedish prodigy that Dairmount discovered a while ago. the Gothenburg producer is naturally exploring different soundscapes in his music and he managed to create a powerful hybrid with Decalculated between slomo house, dubstep & techno. And to close the release, the unstoppable Marlow signed a surprising version of one of the first tracks of the label, Honesty’s Brixton Beach. Marlow flipped the coin by transforming the track into an epic Jazz house odyssey.

Dairmount selected 4 amazing tracks for this third episode of the Midnight Circle lullabies vinyl serie. This time, it is all about tributing the Detroit sound which has been a major influence for many Room With A View artists.

The one & only Danilo Plessow, celebrated in recent years as Motor City Drum Ensemble, known for his legendary Raw Cuts serie and for many high profile remixes of Dj T, Akabu, Caribou & more, is present here with his Mr. Fingers influenced Moving Through Clouds, a beauty of retro futurism. The second track of the A side is a very special one for us as this has been one of the latest recordings of Detroit legend Aaron Carl, who died sadly in autumn 2010. This track is the fruit of his collaboration with the reknown French producer Sebastien San, known for his work on prestigious labels like Planet E, Rush Hour, Gigolo, Echochord Colour or recently We Play House.

On the flipside, the respected Toronto producer Stuart Li aka Basic Soul Unit drops the classic Bedroom Blues, a track cherished by Deetron, Kink, Chateau Flight Or Shit Robot in the perfect tradition of his work on Versatile, Mule, Philpot or the Berlin emporium of Ostgut Ton. The 4th track of this solid EP is the fresh New Jazzno of the rising Derby producer Christo, who produced tracks & remixes for Atjazz, Charles Webster & recently Robert Owens. This Techno soul tune with an afro twist has quickly become a favorite of John Muder, Halo Varga, Giom and others…

Strong of his recent remixes for Fred Everything’s Lazy Days & The Revenge’s Instrument Of Rapture, Art Of Tones is featured here with his ultra classic ” The World As I Live It”, a track that became a heavy rotation number for people as diverse as Dj Sneak, Jimpster, Joey Negro, Kink or Agoria.

The A side comes complete with the Dairmount & Berardi Dub of André Lodemann’s Dark Edge, one of the early smash of the Berlin producer. Label honcho Dairmount & his partner Marino Berardi have been quite hot on the remix tip in 2011 by reworking Feygin for Dj Yellow’s Composite, Jimpster for Freerange & Audio Soul Project for Fresh Meat. This dub has been a firm favorite of Tim Paris, Peter Kruder, Deetron, Moodymanc or Manik to name a few…

The label freshly celebrated its 2nd birthday and label head & ambassador Dairmount selected already the 5th episode of his acclaimed Perspectives serie. Always proposing brand new exclusive tracks with a serious flair of freshness, this episode is not disappointing.

Strong of his recent remixes for Fred Everything’s Lazy Days & The Revenge’s Instrument Of Rapture, Art Of Tones is featured here with “Too Much”, a track that became already a prime favorite of people as diverse as Dj Sneak, Jimpster, Joey Negro or Kink. Dairmount invited also his Bay Area friend alland Byallo to join the dance. The US producer, today relocated in Berlin & reknown for his work on Pokerflat, Dirt Crew, Liebe Detail or his own Nighlight Music, contributed with a smasher called Stern Soul, a straight forward peaktime soul infused rocker.

A little jump in time broring us then in 97 with Know Things, this Jeff Sharel track included here. This track has been released 14 years ago quite confidentially and has remained in the box of Dairmount since then, This brought him to wish to introduce it to a much larger audiance more than a decade later.One of the most underrated producers of the French Touch era is also showing here how solid this could stand beside early prods of La Funk Mob or Pepe Bradock.

In one rebound, Dairmount travelled to derby in UK to introduce the talent of Christo who signed here a beatiful hybrid detroit influenced Afrotech tune with New Jazzno. Keep an eye on his classy Superficially Deep imprint!
And finally, the Ep closes with an original new rendition of the Dairmount & berardi’s classic Bass-ment Tale by the mighty Audio Soul Project, creator of the chicagoan Fresh Meat and known for his work on NRK.

The long awaited second EP of André Lodemann on Room With A View after his 2009 debut Vehemence Of Silence that contributed to send him into orbit in the global scene.

This release is showing once again the versatility of the man exploring slomo-house territories with lots of class & savoir-faire.

On the remix tip, we chosed to highlight the talents of Iron Curtis, known for his brilliant work on Session Victim’s Retreat & Tensnake’s Mirau Musik labels and Master-H, the French mastermind behind the Komplex De Deep imprint.

Room With A View open 2011 with a new vinyl serie undertitled Midnight Circle Lullabies, cooked with love by label honcho Dairmount.
The aim of this serie is to bring maximum satisfaction to today’s vinyl collector by summing up on every episode some of the most in demand tracks of our catalogue (never released on vinyl before), some exclusive new tracks & potentially some “vinyl only” material.

One thing for sure, Dairmount likes to design products in the same way that he likes to enjoy them himself as a die-hard vinyl lover… This is why the tracks included here are high standard production & got a timeless flavor. Many of you will be happy to see the recent Marlow’s smash hit Put Off coming in his full vinyl glory after being played & playlisted heavily by everyone in recent times. Jimpster, The Revenge, Deetron or Garnier are all big big fans of this tune!

But the best is still to come on this boombastic piece of black gold with 2 brand new tracks courtesy of 2 acclaimed masters of deepness, both being some of the most in-demand producers & remixers of the deep club music of this planet : André Lodemann, who launched his magic progression in 2009 on RWAV with his successful Vehemence of Silence EP, has been unstoppable since then, releasing & remixing for high quality imprints like Dessous, Buzzin Fly, Freerange or CityDeep. He is returning on RWAV with his second artist EP end of march and Your Choice is a little teaser of this exclusive to this vinyl. eventhough it contains the incredible production touch of André’s, this track is a surprising one and has been tested on the floors with big success.

On the flipside, we needed the full side to let this monster of a track speaks in full power. Andreas Saag, who appeared on RWAV already in 2009 with Jazz Lapse and got a round of applause in 2010 with releases on Freerange & Rebirth, decided to offer this very personal Techno Jazz odyssey to the label, as a tribute to his longtime friendship with Dairmount.
Recorded & produced with the help of his Gothenburg fella Filip Leyman, this is an organic beauty that would convince anyone that club music is first & foremost music…

Our first artist EP of 2011 is the long awaited debut of the respected Swedish producer Andreas Saag.
After releasing some succesful work on established labels such as Freerange & rebirth in 2010, Saag chosed to deliver something extremely personal & musical to his long time friend Dairmount.
The result is a mesmerising organic Techno Jazz odyssey of 10 minutes recorded with the help of his friend Filip Leyman on drums in Leyman’s studio in Gothenburg.
This timeless piece comes also in 2 other deeper late night renditions made by Andreas himself…

Written, produced, arranged & recorded by Andreas Saag and Filip Leyman in Studio Leyman,Gothenburg 2010.

Andreas plays: Hammond organ (main and lead on first part), Crumar Multiman-S string machine, piano, Yamaha organ bass pedals, Juno 6, handclaps with breathing and sings epic backround vocals.

Filip plays: Hammond (epic backbeat notes on second part), drums, Yamaha organ bass pedals, Korg Polysix, Roland Juno-106, handclaps, guitar.

This is the second retrospective of the last 12 months selected by label boss Dairmount who didn’t only stick to the tracks that received massive love in 2010.

All the classics are there of course : from The world as I Live It by Art Of Tones to One For Oscar by sasse or the moody house of MCDE’s Moving Through Clouds & Basic Soul Unit’s In the Trunk…

“After so many years of knowing Phil and the crew, it was an honour for me tackle the Room With A View catalogue and have a go at creating a mix from my favorite moments on the label. Since the first time i met Phil in the early 2000’s, we talked about music with such a passion that i knew the day he would start a label it would be well done and with a lot of thoughts & care. So it was very exciting to be able to create a mix with this great bunch of tracks at hand.

To have the chance to release my own music as well on the label (One For Oscar EP released in june 2010) meant a lot to me, the family bond is there and it’s rock solid since day one. It was hard to pick out my faves in the amazing productions of the fairly
impressive catalogue, thus i decided to choose the tunes i’ve played most on my recent tours as dj. There a few new ones like Marlow’s killer “Being With You” and the dark “Love Unltd 4AM” by Dairmount & Berardi, as well as a new production from myself titled “Eagle Eyes” coming exclusively with this compilation.

The mix was created in Ableton so it’s not suppose to be your average dj-mix – rather a giant re-edit of 80 mins of energetic unstandard house music. Hopefully the artists involved likes the result, I salute everyone for the great music”

I discovered Marlow 10 years ago when he was one of the main artists of Leipzig’s Moon Harbour and always appreciated his unique sense of deepness. This is what brought me to invite him to take part to the RWAV adventure one year & a half ago, when the label was not even started.
Marlow has been one of the first artists to join the label family and the vision of this very personal EP has been a long time in shaping. In between, he recorded the remarkable Fonk & Digga tracks for our Perspective serie in 2009 and released Look Over Feel feat Mo’Joe on Dennis Ferrer’s Objektivity. He recently produced an exclusive track called Donny at the request of Matthias Tanzmann to take part to the 10th year birthday compilation of Moon Harbour.

In my eyes, there is no doubt that Marlow is still a huge and pretty underrated talent and I’m positive that this EP will make him justice considering the strong personality contained in every of these tracks and the world class production they display. Being a big Black Music lover, it has been a very natural development for him to dig in his vinyl collection to find the cohesion of mood on this EP, tainted of dusty Soul vinyls.

Being a man of collaboration (on production duties for the Pentatones & Matthias Kaden’s full length), it has been no surprise to see him bringing his friends ComixXx & Knixx for a little dance. The title track Put Off is a perfect example of this and My Little Acid Sheep is the result of a spontaneous late night jam in Berlin in ComixXx’s bedroom lab. Fans of Slomo House will be delighted to discover So What that proved to be a secret weapon already in the box of Jimpster and The Revenge to name a few.

As many labels today, we are no exception to receive tons of demos on a weekly basis and God knows how hilarious & painful this exercise can sometimes be.
Nevertheless, some little miracles sometimes happen to remind us that indeed music can speak from itself and that people recognize each other through it. Sebastien San saw in our label his home of choice for his new collaborative work with Aaron Carl and it didn’t take me long to be touched by his message & the music.

I was already well aware of the work of the Northern French producer (in previous years on Gigolo and particularly on Planet E & Rush Hour) who always displayed a strong Detroit heritage in his own Techno productions.
The man has never hidden his fascination & love for the Motor City but this time, Sebastien seemed to take more a Deep House direction while maintaining his personal Detroit influenced soundscapes in the palette.
Another key fact of this work is the vocal collaboration of Aaron Carl who signed here sober & heartfelt lyrics delivered in a perfect way.

For those amongst you that would have never heard about the man, Mr Carl is one of the precious artists out of the Detroit scene of the last 15 years who started under the wings of Mike “UR” Banks on Soul City and left his trace on prestigious labels as Metroplex, Ovum, Millions Of Moments and more recently on Crosstown Rebels (with Dyed Soundorom) and his own Wallshaker imprint. The fruit of this collaboration is definitely not a peaktime track but more of the kind to be remembered in the building of the night or in the early hours of the morning. Sebastien signed himself 3 versions of the track for your maximum pleasure.

Room With A View will be present this year at the world famous ADE festival in Amsterdam for a big party held in cooperation with our digital distributor finetunes & our Dutch booking agent Phat Elephant.

The night, which is part of the official ADE program, will be held on Thursday Oct 21 at Amsterdam’s Hotel Arena with an unseen & explosive line-up that DJ Mag UK has qualified as one of their essential tips of the festival : established players as Atjazz, DJ Yellow & Rainer Trüby will be joined by upcoming hotshots such as Session Victim and our very own Dairmount & Berardi & the Turkish dj Yakuza. The labels showcased at the ADE party include Room With A View (Germany), Delusions of Grandeur (UK), Composite (France), Atjazz Record Company (UK) and Compost (Germany).

AARON CARL LEFT US TODAY

One week exactly after celebrating the release of his collaboration with French producer Sebastien San on our label, Aaron Carl lost his battle against his recently diagnosed cancer. It has been quite a shock today for many music lovers, friends & fellow artists around the world to hear the news communicated publicly today by his Detroit friend & producer Pirahnahead. An online outpouring of grief and condolence has flowed from friends, fellow producers and fans alike. Only 5 days ago, Aaron announced publicly on his page the breaking news of his diagnosed cancer and was showing his fighting spirit.
It’s a real shock to hear Aaron left us… We have been speaking to him last week as we were preparing for the release of Faces. He was looking forward to start his little European tour and was having very kind words for us and the people supporting his music. He knew how proud we were to release some of his rare appearances. Our thoughts go directly to his friends & family…

I’m celebrating more than a decade of friendship with the Finnish respected producer & Mood Music proud label owner by welcoming him on the label this june with an highly personal EP called One For Oscar.

It is indeed a very special bunch of tracks that were recorded for this release and this one will satisfy both fans of leftfield House music and Neo Disco fetishists alike. The EP includes the spooky One For Oscar, the beautiful Disco odyssey of Shades Of Grey and the classic Detroit tribute of Lake Michigan (already presented on our Perspectives 03 in october 2009).

Marino Berardi, first solo EP on the label, release last february, has been recently reviewed by the great US blog Little White Earbuds. After receiving much applause by dj’s at the time of its release, It obviously grew a bit more on Anton Kipfel who wrote sensitive thoughts about the EP.

Besides the epic 11 minutes original version, there is a beautiful rendition by Pezzner who is close to release his debut album on Freerange next month. Second remix of the EP is signed by Christo, who is known for having been introduced to the world by Charles Webster & Atjazz ans is launching his own Superficially Deep label in june with a collaboration EP with Atjazz himself. A Christo full artist EP is planned on Room With A View later this year…

The latest Perspectives compilation compiled by Dairmount that celebrated last month the 1st birthday of the label, has received much attention since its release early april.

The respected De Bug magazine editors obviously loved the release enough to push it to the 7th place of their monthly top 50 besides wonderful releases of Herbert, Workshop, Macro or Circus Company. Our UK friends of Juno Records gave it a nice review also on their Juno Plus site.

Amongst the exclusive material featured on the comp, one track has taken the hearts of many by storm : John Berg’s Stabs has become one of the most played tracks of this spring in the box of Jimpster and Sasse between others…

The mighty duo of label honcho Dairmount and his Italian compadre Marino Berardi seems to make some noise with their first ever remixes released this spring.

Indeed, their dub version of André Lodemann’s Dark Edge (out of the Perspectives 04 compilation on RWAV) have been extremely well received & played by many connaisseurs while their retake of Common Question, Atjazz’s new project Mist Worx, has even reached the Beatport deep House Top 10 in the first 2 weeks of its release in april.

The boys are currently working on their first release for the label due for early summer on Room with a view. On the remix front, their summer will be busy as they will rework material of respected labels such as Audio Soul Project’s Fresh Meat, Jimpster’s Freerange and Master H’s Komplex De Deep due in the second part of the year…

Following his recent Best Intention EP in solo, Marino Berardi has joined his partner & label head Dairmount for another slice of bouncy floor bizzness to be released early april as part of the 4th installment of the acclaimed Perspectives serie.

This time, Dairmount & Berardi put their hands on the excellent Dark Edge of the Berlin sensation André Lodemann, today at the forefront with his succesfull Freerange release (out this month). Dark Edge was part of the Vehemence Of Silence EP released with big noise last year on Room With A View.

The duo is now following the steps of Motor City Drum Ensemble & Atjazz on the remix duties of Lodemann’s original work and we wish them to meet the same public approval than these masters with this 10 minutes dub version.

The OPENING SESSION is coming NEXT FRIDAY 16th of october and will uncover the very awaited 3rd volume of of Dairmount’s Perspectives serie including work & remixes by exciting artists as Motor City Drum Ensemble, Sasse, André Lodemann, Joel Alter, Sygaire, Honesty, Werner Niedermeier and Dairmount & Berardi themselves.

MARLOW’S MIX OF SYGAIRE COMPILED BY PHONIQUE

Dessous, one of the most established House labels in the world, blessed us with a very nice request last week at our label HQ : Berlin’s very own Phonique chosed Marlow’s epic version of Sygaire’s Mono:poly released end of june to be featured on his forthcoming Dessous compilation in november 2009.

The compilation will be called Skin Deep and will be available on a double cd & digital downloads. The selection is signed by Phonique & label honcho Steve Bug. Marlow’s mix will be featured alongside works & remixes by Manuel Tur, Sascha Funke, Huner & Lauhaus, Gorge, Kolombo, Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts, Vincenzo, Tigerskin & Jerome Sydenham between others…

We are all looking forward to this one at the end of the summer…

JIMPSTER WELCOMES DAIRMOUNT & BERARDI

Last friday, Dairmount & Berardi have been the special guests of the second part of Jimpster’s own july podcast of the reknown Freerange radioshow.

The boys presented a tight 30 minutes mix including 1998’s Partial Arts’s Canopy on the defunkt Out Of The Loop and 1995’s classic Carl Craig remix of Mister Monday besides 2 tracks out of the brand new Perspectives 02 : their own Omni which received a wave of applause by many heavyweights & the incredible Jazz Lapse by Andreas Saag… they also dropped a little exclusive by uncovering the forthcoming Motor City Drum Ensemble remix of André Lodemann’s Vehemence Of Silence, due in mid september on Room With A View.

Jimpster himself opened the mix with his own remix of Honesty’s Bleep Me, also part of the Perspectives 02 compilation cooked by Dairmount.

MARLOW HITS DENNIS FERRER’S OBJEKTIVITY

Marlow, one of the core members of the label’s family, has signed a highly anticipated release on the respected Objektivity imprint of US house maestro Dennis Ferrer. The 13th release of the label contains the track Look Over Feel which was originally produced as a Marlow remix of a track of his friend Mo’Joe of Konsequenz, the young Berlin label. After being discovered by Dennis Ferrer, the remix was requested by the man himself to become the track released today and presented as a collab between Mo’Joe & Marlow.

The release is currently exclusively available on Beatport

ART OF TONES’s TRIBUTE TO CARL CRAIG

To celebrate the forthcoming release of our second Perspectives release, Dairmount signed a very special track produced by French house maestro Ludovic Llorca known for his successful output on Laurent Garnier’s F Communications in the 90’s & his more recent releases as Art Of Tones on 20:20 Vision.

The track Terres Conquises is indeed a personal tribute of Llorca to the legendary Detroit artist Carl Craig, appearing as a kind of synthesis of Craig’s work through the vision of Llorca. The track using explicit reference to the 96’s classic At Les led Carl Craig to be credited as co-composer of the new track and to add his golden stamp of approval after including it also in his dj sets.

The track is also appearing on the forthcoming Stacey Pullen’s CD mix compilation on 2020 Vision and is already in heavy rotation with dj’s such as Deetron, Trickski, Will Saul, Milton Jackson, Dubfire, Dj Hell, Laurent Garnier, Jimpster & many more …

British classic magazine DJ Mag has shown some extra love for our little imprint in their june edition. Indeed, our Subakuatik Blues EP by Petter & Dairmount has been selected as one of the 8 “Killer” releases besides big releases of Claude Van Stroke, MJ Cole, Danny Breaks or Moderat…
And in the same issue, our very first release containing the classic Abacus track The Answer has been featured in the ” DJ Secret Weapon” column by Alex Flitsch from the Frankfurt Connaisseur label, describing the track as “one of his 2009 favorites”…

Very nice to see this spontaneous support in the UK music press!
